Lydia Handcrafted Mosaic Table Lamp-Medium Swan Neck
Artificial lighting tools have come into existence with the invention of wood fire and torches then transformed into ceramic oil lamp sand candles. Besides ceramic lamps and sand candles in the Medieval Age, the use of glass gas lamps can be observed in the Roman and Byzantine Periods.
Gas lamps were widely used in cities in the Late Ottoman Period. It is known that kerosene lamps were used in Turkey nearly up to the third quarter of the 20th century, i.e. until the use of electricity became more widespread.
Istanbul is home to many civilizations in terms of history and is a culturally complete mosaic paradise. Hence, we produce all our lamps from the glass mosaic. These boho lamps are inspired by the cultural heritage of Istanbul. We use Khorasan mortar to ensure that these mosaic works and lasts for many years.
The Khorasan mortar is a material that has grounded soil minerals to create a stronger structure. The globe itself water-resistant composition. Due to handmade brass bases, we do not recommend to use the boho lamps in the outdoors.
We can guarantee that the lamp you will purchase is of a quality that will last for generations, like a historical heritage pass one generation to another.
These lamps will give a great ambiance and tranquility to your spaces.
